SOMERVILLEasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies at what date it is anticipated that the contracts will be placed for the Zambesi Bridge construction work in this country; by what date it is anticipated that the bridge will be completed; and by what date it is expected that the resultant new railway communication with Nyasaland will be ready for operation?
§ Dr. SHIELSIt is hoped that the contract for the bridge will be placed in May. It is anticipated that, apart from unforeseen delays, the bridge and through railway communication should be completed in 1934.
