(2) whether he can give figures for each of the three last financial years for England and Wales, respectively, distinguishing the amounts paid to able-bodied unemployed persons and their dependants and the amount expended on the relief of those who cannot be classed under this category?

The following statement shows the amounts expended by Poor Law authorities in England and Wales. respectively, on out-relief in money and kind (i) to persons ordinarily engaged in some regular occupation and their dependants and (ii) to other persons in receipt of domiciliary relief.
