§ Mr. HOPKINasked the President of the Board of Education if it is proposed to build a new school, junior and infants, at Llandebie, an infants' school at Penygroes, and a school, junior and infants, at Penybank, in the county of Carmarthen?
§ Sir C. TREVELYANThe Carmarthen-shire local education authority have informed me that they propose to provide new schools at the places named, but I have not been able to give a decision pending the authority's submission of their three-year programme. I am also awaiting the authority's decision as to the continuance of the practice of differential rating, under which three-fourths of the gross cost of the loan charges on these schools would he borne by the parish of Llandebie.
