§ Mr. N. BUXTONIt was estimated in connection with the last Census of Production that the consumption of milk in liquid form in Great Britain was about 875,000,000 gallons in 1924–25, equivalent1106W to a per head consumption of 20 gallons. The cost to the consumer of this amount of milk, based on the average of the monthly retail prices published by the Ministry of Labour for 1929, would be about £91,000,000 with a per head cost of 41s. 8d.
