§ Mr. LUNNPapers are now being printed for presentation to Parliament as soon as possible, I hope in the course of next week. The Governor is bringing into operation certain further measures directed to the abolition of the mui tsai system in the Colony. The nature of these measures is fully explained in the papers now to be laid.
§ Mr. O. BALDWINasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether His Majesty's Government will insist upon the enforcement of the 1922 and 1923 order abolishing the mui tsai system in Hong Kong?
§ Mr. LUNNYes, Sir. We have every intention of enforcing, with the co-operation of the Governor of Hong Kong, the laws designed to bring about the abolition of the mui tsai system.
