asked the Home Secretary whether he can make any statement regarding his intentions in the case of ex-Inspector John Syme?

I am not yet in a position to make any statement about this matter.

asked the Home Secretary whether he has received an application from ex-Inspector John Syme, of the Metropolitan Police Force, requesting that the circumstances of his dismissal from the Metropolitan Police Force may be re-heard; and what action, if any, he proposes to take in the matter?

Mr. CLYNES

Yes, Sir; but I am not at present in a position to make any statement in the matter.
