§ Mr. AMMONWith the object of employing as many men as possible on the work in the Royal Dockyards, overtime and piecework have been reduced, but they have not been abolished or suspended. Hired as well as established workmen are affected by this change. It is not possible to state the saving thus effected in the amount of wages paid to established workmen engaged on construction work at Chatham.
