asked the Minister of Agriculture if he has arrived at a definite decision with regard to the extension of unemployment insurance to agricultural workers; and when the Government intends to introduce legislation to that effect?

Mr. BUXTON

The reply to the first part of the hon. Member's question is in the negative. As soon as a decision is reached, a communication will be made to the House as soon as possible.

Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGE

asked the Minister of Agriculture if it has been decided to include the agricultural workers in the unemployment insurance scheme; and, if so, what deductions or contributions have to be made by employers and employed?

Mr. BUXTON

The Government is giving careful consideration to the question of the unemployment insurance of agricultural workers and an announcement will be made to the House as soon as possible.
