HC Deb 15 November 1929 vol 231 c2414W
Mr. GRANVILLE

asked the Minister of Health if he will take steps to fix the percentage of moisture allowed in bread exposed for sale to the public?

Mr. GREENWOOD

I have received a copy of a report on the marketing of wheat, barley and oats recently adopted by the Council of Agriculture for England in which it is suggested that the question of fixing a maximum water con tent for bread should be considered. I will consider this suggestion in consultation with may right hon. Friend, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.
