HC Deb 07 November 1929 vol 231 cc1262-3W
Mr. ALBERY

asked the Minister of Health if he proposes to take any special steps with a view to providing houses at lower working-class rents; and, if so, whether such schemes may be calculated to procure houses to let at rentals, inclusive of rates, not higher than 8s. per week?

Mr. GREENWOOD

The question of further housing legislation is receiving my very careful consideration, but I can not at this stage anticipate the proposals which I hope to be able to submit to the House on the subject.
