HC Deb 07 November 1929 vol 231 cc1281-2W
Mr. HORE-BELISHA

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what are the reasons why admission to the Royal Hospital School, Greenwich, is refused to illegitimate children; and whether he can see his way to abrogate this Regulation?

Mr. AMMON

The Admiralty are ad vised that the Greenwich Hospital Charter and the Greenwich Hospital Acts which govern them in their action as trustees cannot, as a matter of law, be interpreted as admitting illegitimate children to benefits.
