§ Mr. G. MACDONALDasked the Minister of Health whether he is prepared to relax the Poor Law Regulations of 1911, in reference to the imposing of task work on able-bodied men, whose genuineness cannot be doubted, as a condition of receiving Poor Law relief?
§ Mr. GREENWOODThe existing Regulations give me ample discretion to waive the requirement of task work in the cases which my hon. Friend has in mind, and I do not think it is necessary to make any alteration for this purpose.
