HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 cc844-5W
Mr. BUCHANAN

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has received any representations regarding the conduct of certain officials in connection with small debt claims; if he has made inquiry into the subject; and what action, if any, he intends taking?

Mr. ADAMSON

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As the hon. Member is aware, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Scotland, accompanied by the Lord Advocate, recently received deputations in Glasgow when this amongst other matters was discussed. Further inquiry is being made into the complaints, and I hope to be able to communicate further with my hon. Friend at an early date.
