HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 c854W
Mr. DAY

asked the Postmaster-General whether any further precautions have now been introduced for the protection of mail bags travelling on corridor trains; and can he give particulars?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

The measures adopted by the Railway Companies to ensure the safety of mails conveyed in vans forming part of corridor trains have been fully reviewed, and I am satisfied that all reasonable and practicable precautions are taken to safeguard the mails while under the Companies' charge.
