§ Mr. HERBERT MORRISONThe approximate number of licences in respect of mechanically-propelled vehicles current on 31st August last was 2,163,000. I am informed that the latest statistics of road accidents are those for the year ending 31st December, 1928, which were presented to the House by the late Home Secretary on 27th March, 1929, in House of Commons Paper Number 83 of last Session.
