HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 c869W
Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Minister of Transport whether he has yet considered the Report of the Duckham Committee; and, in particular, whether he proposes to take any action with regard to the question of 20-ton railway trucks and the pooling of privately-owned wagons?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

I have the various recommendations contained in the first Report of the Standing Committee on Mineral Transport under consideration in conjunction with the Secretary for Mines. The Government is not yet in a position to make an announcement on the subject.
