HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 c856W
Mr. LANG

asked the Postmaster-General if he is prepared to consider the advisability of causing automatic machines for the sale of stamps to be placed near pillar-boxes on the large railway stations?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

I should be willing to instal and maintain automatic stamp selling machines at the principal railway stations if the railway companies would agree to their installation without charging a rental, but I understand at present they are not prepared to do so.
