HC Deb 04 November 1929 vol 231 cc635-6W
Captain PETER MACDONALD

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether he has any information as to the action taken by the Dominion Governments on the resolution of the Imperial Conference in 1926 recommending to the notice of those Governments the decisions of the Washington Conference on the subject of oil-pollution at sea?

Mr. PONSONBY

His Majesty's Governments in Canada, New Zealand and the Union of South Africa have intimated their willingness to participate in a Convention on the lines of that recommended by the Washington Conference, and His Majesty's Government in Newfoundland have signified their general approval.
