HC Deb 04 November 1929 vol 231 c626W
Mr. DAGGAR

asked the Minister of Transport whether he has received a communication from the Monmouthshire County Council with reference to a resolution passed by that authority dealing with the present state of the law with regard to the testing and certification of electric meters, which they consider to be unsatisfactory; and whether he intends to introduce legislation requiring the certification and stamping of all electric meters?

Brigadier-General WRIGHT

asked the Minister of Transport whether it has been brought to his notice by any public authorities that the present state of the law with regard to the testing and certification of electric meters is considered defective; and, if so, whether he proposes to introduce the necessary amending legislation?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

Representations in regard to this matter have been made to me by certain public authorities, and the matter is under consideration.
