HC Deb 01 November 1929 vol 231 c489W
Brigadier-General WRIGHT

asked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the conditions under which certain families are living in huts in Ernesettle Camp, in the Plympton St. Mary rural district of Devonshire; and whether he will institute an investigation into the circum stances with a view to inducing the local authorities to provide proper housing accommodation for the families concerned?

Mr. GREENWOOD

The conditions in this camp were brought to the notice of my predecessor and arrangements were then made under which houses to be erected by the Rural District Council should be made available for the occupants of the camp. I will make enquiries as to the present position and communicate further with the hon. Member.
