HC Deb 01 November 1929 vol 231 c484W
Mr. HORE-BELISHA

asked the Minister of Labour the numbers of persons, specifying men, women, boys, and girls, on the Devonport and Plymouth Employment Exchanges, respectively, for the months of July, August, September, and October, 1929, respectively?

Miss BONDFIELD

The figures are as follow:

for an increase in the capital of the Agricultural Bank, Trinidad; what are the reasons for the changes of policy regarding this bank; and whether the whole subject is now being reconsidered in view of the resolutions submitted from the Chamber of Commerce and the Agricultural Society of Trinidad?

Mr. LUNN

The answer to the first portion of the hon. Member's question is in the affirmative; the question of increasing the capital of the bank has been reconsidered in the light of the representations made, and it has been decided not to approve such an increase. There has been no change in policy, as it was never the intention that the original capital should be increased.
