asked the Minister of Health, what was the revenue of the National Health Insurance Fund during the past year; and what was the total amount paid out during the same period?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN:

The approximate total receipts and payments of the National Health Insurance Fund in England and Wales during the year ended 31st December, 1928, were £34,670,000 and £33,740,000 respectively. The payments include about £810,000 cost of Central Administration.
