HC Deb 02 May 1929 vol 227 c1733W
Mr. MacLEAN

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if any claim has been presented to the Treasury recently on behalf of the P-class of Civil Servants; the amount that the concessions requested would have cost; what action, if any, was taken by the Treasury; and, if such action was a refusal of the claim, the reasons for such refusal?

Mr. SAMUEL

Claims for an improvement of the position of the class referred to are at the present time the subject of discussion between the Treasury and representatives of the men concerned. In these circumstances, I must ask to be allowed to defer any statement on the matter until a conclusion has been reached.
