Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe grants for this purpose are included in the total grants paid to local authorities in respect of their maternity and child welfare services, and no separate figures are available showing the actual amount of grants paid for the supply of milk. The following statement gives the closest estimate which can be formed of the total grants paid for this purpose in respect of each of the financial years 1919–20 to 1927–28:
