asked the Minister of Health the number of small-pox cases that Have been notified in the London area during the past three weeks; the districts from which these cases have been reported; and the number of adults amongst such cases?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The total number of cases of small-pox notified in the administrative County of London during the three weeks ended 16th March, 1929, was 39, namely:

Holborn 1
Islington 1
Lambeth 4
Poplar 9
St. Pancras 2
South wark 3
Stepney 13
Total 39

I understand that 15 of these notifications were in respect of persons of the age of 21 years or over.
