HL Deb 21 March 1929 vol 73 cc819-20WA
VISCOUNT CECIL OF CHELWOOD

asked whether it is true that the Council of the League of Nations has resolved that its next meeting will take place at Madrid, and what will be the additional cost to the funds of the League of that decision

THE EARL OF LUCAN (on behalf OF LORD CUSHENDUN)

At the last meeting of the Council of the League of Nations the Spanish representative extended on behalf of his Government an invitation to the Council to hold its next session in Madrid. The Council unanimously accepted this invitation. Thanks to the generosity of the Spanish Government no additional cost to the funds of the League need be anticipated.

House adjourned at half past six o'clock.
