§ Mr. KELLYasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether his attention has been called to industrial assurance companies issuing policies on infant life to the extent of £10 on each infant; and if any action is to be taken with those companies?
Mr. SAMUELI am not clear in what way it is suggested that policies of the nature mentioned are being issued in contravention of the statutory provisions which limit the amount which an industrial assurance company may insure or pay on the death of a child; but, if the hon. Member will furnish me with particulars of any cases which he has in mind, I shall be glad to cause inquiry to be made into them.
