§ Mr. T. GRIFFITHSasked the Under-Secretary of State for India the number of officers and men of the Indian Army serving outside the boundaries of British India?
§ Earl WINTERTONThe number of officers and men of the Indian Army serving outside India is approximately 1,700, of whom about 100 are officers. I cannot, without entailing a disproportionate expenditure of time and labour, give the number of Indian Army troops serving in the Indian Empire outside the boundaries of British territory.
