WORTHINGTON-EVANSInformation is not available as to the number of claims presented in 1928, but compensation amounting to some £7,000 was paid in respect of approximately 1,450 cases of injury sustained during that year by War Department civilian employés. The total payments in 1928 in compensation for injuries received in 1928 and previous years exceeded £35,000.
