HC Deb 14 March 1929 vol 226 cc1298-300W
Mr. T. WILLIAMS

asked the Minister of Agriculture how many inclosure awards containing drainage provisions there were in the proposed Doncaster drainage area, and the number of such awards where the drainage provisions were being properly exercised and observed?

Mr. GUINNESS

According to the Report of the Doncaster Area Commission there are 25 such awards, a list of which is given in Annex B to the Commission's Report. I am unable to state in how many cases the drainage provisions of the award are being properly exercised and observed, but I understand that in at least 14 cases the drainage provisions of the award are not being operated.
