§ LORD DANESFORTasked His Majesty's Government whether the new Irish Free State silver coinage was minted at the Royal Mint or in some other place; and whether any and what Proclamation or Order in Council has been issued determining the denominations of and designs for this new Irish Free State silver coinage, or directing that the whole or any part of the Coinage Act, 1870, shall apply to or be in force in the Irish Free State with or without modifications.
§ THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE FOR DOMINION AFFAIRS (THE EARL OF PLYMOUTH)The Royal Mint have contracted to manufacture the new silver coinage of the Irish Free State. This issue of token coinage is being made under the provisions of the Free State Coinage Act, 1926, and the Coinage Act, 1870, has no application to it. The denominations of, and the designs for, the coins were determined by the authorities of the Free State.
