HC Deb 04 March 1929 vol 226 c49W
Mr. W. THORNE

asked the Minister of Transport the number of toll bridges and roads in England, Wales, and Scotland, and the scale of charges for pedestrians and vehicles?

Colonel ASHLEY

The latest particulars regarding toll roads and bridges are given in paragraphs 59 to 61 of the Annual Report on the Administration of the Road Fund for the year 1927–28. A complete tabulated statement containing schedules of all the tolls chargeable at each point has been prepared and can be consulted at the office of my Department in Whitehall Gardens, but the record is too voluminous for inclusion in a reply to a Parliamentary question.
