CAYZERasked the Minister of Pensions whether he will consider an amendment to the Order in Council governing the issuing of widows' pensions whereby a sailor's widow's pension, which is discontinued on re-marriage, may be restored to the widow in the event of her second husband pre-deceasing her?
§ Mr. F. O. ROBERTSI fear that I could not recommend the amendment suggested, which, as I may point out, could not be enacted for the benefit of the sea service only, but would clearly have to be considered in connection with the Royal Warrants and Orders affecting the land and air forces, and which, moreover, would involve the pension provisions administered by the Service Departments for the pre-War and post-War forces as well as those which apply to the forces engaged in the Great War.
