§ Sir R. ASKEasked the Secretary for Mines whether he is aware that there is a marked falling off in the making of forward contracts for British coal, due to the uncertainty at present existing as to the intentions of the Government with regard to hours of work in the mining industry, which is likely to have a serious effect in reducing employment in mines; and whether he will make known the intentions of the Government at an early date?
