Separate statistics of the number of insured workpeople in the aircraft industry are not available, as this industry is included for statisti-1148W cal purposes with others to form the group "Construction and repair of motor vehicles, cycles and aircraft." The only separate figures for the aircraft industry are those of the population census of 1921, when the total number of persons employed in the industry in Great Britain was about 8,700. Information is not available regarding the proportion of men in the industry who were formerly employed in dockyards.
