Permanent 2,283 Temporary 1,445 Total 3,728 On 1st January, 1929, the numbers were:
Established 2,109 Unestablished 782 Total 2,891 There has thus been a total decrease since 1st April, 1922, of 837. I may add that owing to variations in method of record, the figures for temporary and unestablished staff are not entirely comparable.
