Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe expenditure, other than out of loans, of all local authorities in England and Wales for the years ended in March, 1914, 1924, 1925, and 1926 was £148,259,788, £343,263,383, £354,926,068 and £373,109,623, respectively. The particulars for the year ended in March, 1927, are not yet available.
