§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSOn the information at present available it would appear that on 1st January, 1928, there were 79,330 premises with on-licences, 22,174 premises with off-licences, and 12,481 registered clubs. Final figures will be published in the volume of licensing statistics for 1928.
