§ Sir R. GOWERasked the Secretary for Mines whether he is aware that, as reported by the agent of the Nine Mile Point Colliery, Monmouthshire, although 434W the Rock Vein pit of that colliery has been open for work since Monday, 28th January, and 600 men could have been started at the pit, fewer than 50 men had applied for work in response to the invitation of the management; and whether, having regard to the unemployment existing amongst colliers in Wales, he has any statement to make regarding the matter?
