§ Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLEasked the Postmaster-General whether any steps are being taken to establish a closer co-operation between his staff of Post Office detectives and the Criminal Investigation Department of the Metropolitan police?
§ Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSONI am satisfied after inquiry that there is no foundation for the statements which have been made regarding lack of co-operation between my staff and the Criminal Investigation Department of the Metropolitan Police, and I have ascertained that my right hon. Friend, the Home Secretary, and the Commissioner of Police concur in this view.
