§ Colonel ASHLEYThe grants made during the current financial year towards the maintenance of Class 1 and Class 2 roads and bridges in the county of Devon, including the county boroughs of Exeter and Plymouth, amount to £230,373. If the increased percentages had been in operation, the additional amount of grant payable would have been £60,780. The amount payable in respect of the year 1929–30 cannot be stated until the local authorities' estimates for that year have been submitted and approved.
