Mr. GUINNESSThe number of statutory small holdings provided by councils of counties and county boroughs in England and Wales on 31st December, 1927 (the latest date for which figures are available) was approximately 29,000. During the year ended 31st December, 1928, schemes have been approved by the Ministry for a further 102 small holdings and cottage holdings. I regret that I have no information as to the number of bankruptcies among smallholders.
