§ Sir R. GOWERasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will state if any and, if so, what steps have been taken to carry out the proposal made by him and adopted by the Council of the League of Nations at its second meeting at Geneva on 19th September, 1644W 1929, that the representatives of both Hungary and Rumania should renew negotiations at an early date, and under his guidance, for the settlement of the dispute between those two countries relative to those Hungarian optants who have been dispossessed of their properties by Rumania: and whether he has any statement to make upon the matter?
