§ Mr. MIDDLETONIn the county of Stafford, south of the town of Stafford, the Ecclesiastical Commissioners have land in Lichfield, Norton Canes, Shenstone and Wolverhampton. They have received no proposal for the purchase of any part of these lands for the purposes mentioned. If such application were made for land suitably circumstanced, they would, in accordance with their usual practice, be prepared to consider a sale at a reasonable price, having regard to the circumstances.
§ Mr. MANDERasked the Minister of Agriculture what land in South Staffordshire, the property of the Crown, is suitable for playing fields and public parks; and whether it is the policy of the Government to offer such land at reasonable prices to public and other bodies interested?
§ Mr. N. BUXTONIn answer to the first part of the question, there is no land in South Staffordshire under the management of the Commissioners of Crown Lands. The second part of the question does not therefore arise.
