asked the Minister of Labour the number of people unemployed in the vehicle building trade as at 1st November, 1928, and 1st November, 1929?

The following table shows the numbers of insured persons, aged 16 to 64, classified as belonging to the vehicle building industries, recorded as unemployed in Great Britain at 21st October, 1929, and at 22nd October, 1928, the nearest dates for which figures are available:

14,700, of which 5,372 were recommended by the Courts for allowance and 9,328 for disallowance.
