HC Deb 09 December 1929 vol 233 c62W
Mr. TILLETT

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the success of state-regulated credits in Germany, France, Italy, America, and other countries, he will take into consideration the necessity for similar action in Great Britain?

Mr. P. SNOWDEN

I am not clear what credits my hon. Friend has in mind, but I should doubt whether any of the countries named has made a more liberal use of state-aided credits than this country.
