HC Deb 09 December 1929 vol 233 c73W
Mr. KEDWARD

asked the President of the Board of Education how many non-provided elementary schools are at present on the black list and what prospects are there of their satisfying the Board's requirements in the immediate future?

Sir C. TREVELYAN

1,348 voluntary schools, out of an original total of 2,113, remain on the black list. Plans have been approved which will result in the removal of a further 229 schools from the list.
