Mr. CHAMBERLAINTwenty-eight local authorities in the County of Salop have submitted and received approval of schemes under the Housing (Rural Workers) Act, 1926. Up to 30th September last, applications for assistance had been made in respect of 79 dwellings, assistance had been promised in respect of 76, and in the case of 19 dwellings the work of reconditioning had been completed.
