§ Mr. G. HALLasked the Minister of Transport whether he has received representations from the Abercynon Chamber of Trade calling his attention to the dangerous condition of a portion of the Cardiff Road from the lower end of Glancynon Terrace to the Travellers' Rest, Abercynon; is he aware that this piece of road is one of the dangerous spots in the County of Glamorgan, a number of accidents, some of which were serious, having occurred there this year; and, as an improvement can be made to this road with very little cost, will he give the county council the authority to proceed with their scheme for widening this road?
§ Colonel ASHLEYI have received the representations to which the hon. Member refers, and have been in communication on the subject with the Glamorgan County Council. I understand that the council are unable on financial grounds to proceed with the scheme at present.
