HC Deb 27 November 1928 vol 223 c246W
Mr. WRIGHT

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that the consumers of electricity for domestic purposes in the area supplied by the Clyde Valley Electrical Power Company are asked to accept new bases of charges that mean an increase of 33⅓ per cent.; and whether he can protect the consumer under the Act of 1926?

Colonel ASHLEY

I am informed by the Electricity Commissioners that they have received representations in regard to this matter and are taking steps to investigate them, and I will, in due course, inform the hon. Member of the result of these investigations.
